I have been in a cooking/baking mood lately. Yesterday I went to the store to stock up on some ingredients for the kitchen. The boyfriend cooks most of the time. I don't want to complain (ok this is going to sound like complaining but I don't mean it that way) but it's a select menu. Like he says he doesn't know how to cook fish... so here is our typical menu...
- Steak and homemade french fries from potatos (my favorite!)
- Pork chops (I reallllly don't like pork)
- Chicken alfredo (another favorite)
- Pasta (cooked a handful of ways red sauce, white sauce, etc)
- Hamburger helper type meals
- Breakfast meals (pancakes, eggs, bacon)
- Frozen pizzas
That about sums it up. Now don't get me wrong. I am far from knowing my way around the kitchen. And when I do find myself in there, I usually end up baking and not cooking... but I am trying to change. Let's call it getting a jump start on my New Year's Resolution... so anyways here are some recipes I have found on Pinterest that I am going to be trying out fairly soon.
Crispy Edamame - Movie Snack! Crispy Edamame -1 (12 ounce) package frozen shelled edamame (green soybeans), 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese, salt pepper to taste. 15 min. in a 400 oven O.M.G. I cannot wait to make this. (link didn't go anywhere)
That's quite ambitious of me if I do say so myself... especially because just the shopping wore me out yesterday. And today I got hit with an overwhelming way of unproductiveness. Perfect timing.
